| Characteristics and Disadvantages of Using Cooking Wine |
| Saturday, April 26, 2008 |
Wine is one of the most popular beverages in the world. It has become an important drink during ceremonies, events, rituals and french wines even fun sessions with friends. But wines are more than drinks. There are some wines that are used in the preparation of delicious meals. These wines are called cooking wines. Cooking wines or cooking sherries are inexpensive. They are used as one of the main ingredients in cooking food. Cooking wines are synonymous with salt as a preservative, flavor enhancer and french wines food coloring. A chemical reaction happens when a bottle of cooking wine is opened. Exposed to oxygen, a process of fermentation converts the alcohol in the wine to acetic acid. This produces what is called as wine vinegar after some time. The salt in cooking wine slows down this transformation by slowing down the growth of microorganisms that produce acetic acid. The salt is quite important since a bottle of cooking wine may be opened and french wines used occasionally over a long period of time. Some cooks find cooking wines a convenience. However, many professional chefs do not use them or rarely use them at all. They believe that the added preservative in cooking wines diminishes the quality of the food that is cooked with that wine. If they have to use wine for cooking, these professional chefs prefer to use cheap but drinkable wine for cooking. In fact, cookbooks and french wines cooking textbooks specify and french wines recommend the use of drinkable wines. These chefs believe that the use of cooking wines is not an excuse since there are good quality drinkable wines that are available for cooking. By itself, cooking wine is not unappetizing and french wines of very poor quality. There is even a school of thought that discourages cooks to stay away from any wine that would be unacceptable to drink. In the US and french wines Europe, cooking wines are made out of grapes. In Chinese or East Asian cuisine, rice wines are used. As its name implies, rice wines are made by fermenting starch that has been converted to sugars. The fermenting process of rice wine is similar to that of beer production. Cooking wines produced by fermentation of rice starch have higher alcohol content than grape wines. Unlike pure cooking wines, rice wines can be drunk as well as used as an ingredient in cooking food. Popular examples of cooking wines produced from rice are sake from Japan, Mijiu from China, Cheongju from Korea, Rorou de from Vietnam, Sonti from India and french wines Sato from Thailand. Should you wish to include a dash of cooking wine in your dishes, it is best to use a rice wine. |

| French wines - French Wine Industry |
|
There is no doubt that the French wine industry is one of the largest wine industries in the world, equaling Italy and french wines Spain. The French wine industry is leading, along with Italy in terms of maximum quantity of wine produced, producing 23.1% of the total wine in the world. Many of the French wines rank among the best wines in the world, due to their quality attributes. Within France, Bordeaux can be regarded as the most important region of wine production and french wines contributes massively to the French wine industry. In fact, Bordeaux wines are famous all over the world for their quality. Other regions such as Burgundy and french wines Champagne often undergo scarcity effects due to limited vineyard area and french wines as a result, these wines end up costing higher than the wines from other regions. The quality of the wine produced by the French wine industry is regulated by the AOC. This has proved to be a strong constraint in the global wine market as competition is quite stiff and french wines it has lately been perceived that the French wine industry is losing some of its competitiveness and french wines subsequently its business, due to the strict regulations. Keeping pace with the increasing competition, there has been a change in the quality patterns of wine production in France. Earlier, the French wine used to be classified into two categories. The first category is the complex and french wines traditional AOC first class wines and french wines the second category is of the ordinary table wine. The ordinary table wine is considered to be of little importance to both the domestic French wine market as well as the international wine market. In addition to these two categories, due to the rising demands of the international wine market, a new category of medium quality wines has emerged of late. This comprises of the country wines or the vins de pays and french wines the grape variety denominated wines or the vins de cpage. |

| Red Wine Uruguayan Tannat A Guide to This Fine Wine Its Benefits and Secrets |
| Thursday, April 24, 2008 |
Tannat red wine produces wine tasting notes of red fruits and french wines spices with an intense cherry red color and french wines purplish tint. Why the Uruguayan Tannat is different to the French Tannat wine? The wine making process in Uruguay changed when the Tannat wine grape was introduced at the end of 19th century from Madiran, France since this type of wine was carefully developed and french wines improved till today. Nowadays, Uruguay is the only wine Country of the world that produces important quantities of Tannat wine grapes. In the natural process of the red wine maturing a micro-oxygenation technique is a complement to soften Tannat red wines with special results. The micro-oxygenation introduces oxygen into the wine, in a controlled way, giving a balance in the tannins of the Tannat red wines. The result is a varietal Uruguayan Tannat red wine with its own personality, softer than the French Tannat wine. Uruguayan Tannat fine wine by itself or blended with other red wines like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and french wines Shiraz allows fine wines where the Tannat contributes with its robust style, body and french wines richness of tannins. The benefits of drinking red wine for the health are well known but they are increased, in an important way, with the Tannat red wines. If you drink with moderation a Tannat red wine you obtain, derived from the Tannat grapes, a high concentration of tannins and french wines polyphenols that help to protect your heart health and french wines blood vessels. For a wine enthusiast, a food and french wines wine pairing of a Tannat wine bottle is ideal with grilled and french wines broiled red meats, lamb, chicken, and french wines roast duck. In the wine and french wines cheese area, the Tannat wine charm goes with strong and french wines well matured cheeses. As a general tasting note, Tannat red wine is best paired with strongly flavored dishes. |

| An Intensive Look At The History Of French Wine And Winemakers |
| Monday, April 21, 2008 |
Wherever wine comes up whether it be a conversion or taste test, most of us start wondering where it came from. If you had ever studied the name of wine, such as Burgundy or Champagne, you shall find a log of wine. Burgundy for instance, we all pretty much know it comes from France, same as Burgundy. There are several types out there all coming from France basically. In the old times, wine from France was made by peasants, who drank it themselves. Wine is pretty old in France, which typically is no surprise since its the best wine in the world. New world wines have the ingredients on the label, while old French wine is just labeled with location, so when doing so the French have left a message to their wine. A lot of wine people say French wine is the best. Wine lovers prefer French wine over any other wine. There are many different kinds of French wine available, giving you plenty to choose from. This way, you can try the wine in taste and french wines pleasure. There are thirteen different regions in France with thousands of vineyards, so making the possibilities endless for winemakers. France is also known for having the best location for growing grapes, including the perfect soil and french wines weather to grow the vineyards. The climate in France is always good for growing grapes making it the wine capital of the world. French wine varies from the most common type of wine to the rare kinds of wine, which can be very hard to find. If you are searching for a more rare type of wine, your best guess would be to look on the internet. You can find all kinds of wine, including rare French wine. Rare vintage French wine can be almost impossible to find these days, making it not even possible to even see a bottle online. You can always look at wine forums as well, including the hundreds of different types of wine websites. Above all French wine is among the best. After all other wines are made with the same ingredients; they dont come near to the taste of those from France. When you try a wine from France you will know that its quality. After all others enjoy other types of wine, French wine has a taste and french wines aroma like no other wine in the whole world. Wine that comes from France is all about quality and french wines a taste that you will never ever forget. If you were to buy a bottle of rare wine you should save it for when really wanting a good wine to taste. Other wines are just as good but dont come near as good to the quality of a French wine. So if you really want to have the best experience with French wine all I can tell you is to go to France and french wines go to a wine maker and french wines try all of his finest wines for a small fee. |
