Are the real beauties hidden away?
There are some lovely wines here, but nothing to make one's jaw drop. Apart from the 1963 Fonseca and Quinta do Noval, great ports from a cracking vintage, my pick would be the 1995 Ch teau Latour Pomerol, a silky, intense merlot-based blend from a first rate vintage or the elegantly mature 1988 Ch teau L oville Barton, a consistently pleasing wine from a delightful year.
